Dinkra goes LA, will you help us?

In addition to our special bags and accessories we have set up a clothing line. This clothing line is a mix of Ghanaian traditions and Dutch design. We are active on Social Media and this was noticed by a fashion platform.

Our special products has been spotted by Art Hearts Fashion and we have been invited by this fashion platform for emerging designers for the Los Angeles Fashion week. What a chance!

With your help we can design and make our first international collection that will be featured on the Los Angeles Fashion week catwalk. Our new clothing line for the show in Los Angeles is a mix of Ghanaian traditions and Dutch design. Through cooperation with local entrepeneurs from Ghana we want to get together to make this clothing line a common success.

If we make a success of our first international collection in Los Angeles this provides a good financial basis for setting up other collections. In order to meet a larger demand, we plan to set up a sewing workshop in Ghana. We own a land in Tema (near Accra) which is not currently in use. Our dream is to build a physically handicapped house so people can be trained as a tailor. All this under guidance of local tailors who master the subject.

By setting up a sewing workshop in Ghana Dinkra creates employment and contributes to a healthy economy. All donations we receive will go directly to the development and production of our international clothng line and in the cost of living and participation fee for the Los Angeles Fashion Week.

In order to this, we need your help! The show is from 5 to 8 October 2017, so we want to start as soon as possible. With your donations we can do this.
